There are SO MANY MEMBERS. Sometimes, we can't always catch it if a member is making rude replies. So if that ever happens, report the post..or just PM a mod. Then we have an idea of what;s going on. We can PM them. And if they continue, warn or suspend them. Problem solved.

it comes back to respect again... surely rudeness is just a form of disrespect? and you tell whatsherface to get over it, but you cant take it...

also, i never personally insulted a mod (that i could find, i just reread it, dmittedly hurriedly (sp?). and again, i dont see how questioning someone's decision making skills is disrespectful particularly. if you feel that someone has made a poor decision, and numerous people aree with you, what is wrong with telling the person?

surely its better than just bitching and moaning behind their backs?

and when people xpress support for a particular point that has been raised, the mods get in a snit about repeat posting

QUOTE
what, that people disagree?

shocking, isnt it

and clearly you need some instruction in how to do your job.

Life is about changes

clearly, not if you are a mod

QUOTE
i believe the mods are too far gone to see their way to effective change.

oh yes, you were not disrespectful AT ALL.

there is a HUGE difference between telling us you don't like the staff's decision and whining about it and carrying it on because you didn't get your way.

QUOTE
but yeah. roxy has said it wont happen, because it infringes the rules, and admin (congrats, btw) her decision is more or less final.

so now, when you do agree with a staff's decision, that's when it goes?

yes james, you were disrespectful. you were acting quite immature about the situation. i was fine that you were rude. i'm over the fact that you disrespected the entire staff. the fact that you would leave because the staff didn't agree with one of your suggestions and that you carried it on and on even though the decision was made and it was over is what i got ticked about. you keep saying you did nothing wrong, and really, stating your opinion about a matter is fine. but there were many different, much better ways you could have handled that.

^and there is probably a way you could have handled yourself better as well. Don't act like you weren't rude or disrespect either.

Er, kids? The matter has passed for a while now, lets just drop it. If you can't be happy in each other's presence, then at least be tolerable. Again, the whole thing is over an done with why bring it up again? * ermm.gif at James*

Don't answer that question, by the way sweating.gif

Come on dude and dudettes, quit it.

Well, there are always going to be rude people here. Mods also have a life too, and they aren't going to be here all the time. I think all we have to do is ignore the comment and not take it personally. I mean c'mon, you most likely don't even know the person, so I don't see why it should offend you so much.

Maybe not everyone means to act rude, because online, it's hard to express true emotions. Some people do mean to be rude though, but yeah, I just wanted to point out that it might not be everyone. =]

I think you may just have to tough it up a lil. I mean, it's human nature not to be so nice all the time and I guess at times, be blunt. Perhaps they're just being sarcastic or you may have interpreted them wrong. It may be hurtful, but just keep in mind that it is just the internet, don't let it get to you too much. We mods do try our best to regulate and make sure that people are keeping things peaceful and appropriate but we can only do so much. Plus, its not really against the rules to be rude, but it is to member bash. So as long as the member is not bashing you, then there's really nothing we can do or say to the person to appease things.

wasnt it you who went on and on and on and on and on and on about me having to shut up when an admin said something? now you seem to bechalenging me ove rit... make up your mind, dearest

also:

the first one isnt really rude... you were getting into a snit (which could easily have been said offensively)

the second one wasnt rude when put into context, it just seems exagerated there

ok, i see you're point about the third one

again, i dont think the fourth one was all that rude when put in context

the fifth one isnt rude at all. its a rational statement based on what i'd seen in that thread

also, its not entirely true that the staff didnt agree with me, rachel and i think someone else (but im not sure) did

---

also, changing tack slightly, you told me off for questioning the admins/mods decision making skills. what was it exactly when you said that no one should endorse me, when mods already had? just a thought...
