Born into this family,
The stereotype was set
Call her an over-achiever,
Straight A's is all she would get

Twelve years through her Hell
All she wanted was trust
Drinking was not for her
She denied all offered drugs

A little thing called Abstinence,
What she strived to abide and be
Twenty after-school clubs later
She was destined never to be free

Well-rounded and praised
She did all that she could
Never asking for much,
Never expecting they would

Constantly complaining,
The parents regret her birth
Had they have noticed before then,
They'd have witnessed her worth

Some say kids are the future
And that holds to be quite true
If only their parents
Listened to what teenagers knew
