There are free trials of photoshop and paint shop pro.
There are other programs that are not as popular, maybe like gimp or imagefolio that may not be as well, but you can google them or go to http://www.download.com to search for some. |

i mainly use paint shop pro just because im used to it...ive never expiremented with adobe and all that, but take the advice above and get a free trial.
