yoru not suppose to double post. you use image ready, it comes with photoshop. you just make different layers of each image and choose which image to display on image ready and push play. you can adjust the speed also.

in imageready you need to show the animation window so go to window --> animation, then for each new slide just make each layer visible or not visible

// I recommend that you use animation shop it's way easier than image ready. But I use Image Ready.

i will post the one i learned from. edit in a sec

eek i almost double posted since im so use to clicking add reply, anyways.
believe it or not i learned from this tutorial:
http://www.createblog.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=67232

i will just highlight and edit how i learned from that tutorial, i hope i don't get in trouble for using her images.
follow step 2
Open Photoshop then Jump to Image Ready (or open Image Ready on its own). Open your image file. You should see that is has more than one layer.
http://img218.exs.cx/img218/8740/9.jpg

step 7 &8
http://img218.exs.cx/img218/9392/11.jpg
STEP 7. we need to create as many frames that you need, but first lets set the first frame to say the speed you want. To do this, click on the part of the frame that says “0” in the picture below. Choose “Other” from the menu and type in .11. Now, click the button outlined in red to create extra frames.

STEP 8. Now we need to make sure each frame only has one visible layer. To do this click on frame one and make layer one visible only, BY CLICKING the EYE button at the left of the layer. Having the eye there means the layer/frame is visible, and not having the eye there means the layer is invisible. Click on frame two, make layer two visible only, etc. Now you should be able to click the play button to preview your animation.

ok, since i have 3 layers, you will see 3 layers. you change it so that you see each image like mine. to do this click on each layer and click for the eye to show for each layer. for example click purple and show purple then click blue and show blue, and so on.
so you see an eye for each layer

Now you should be able to click the play button to preview your animation.

finished image

bleh it wont let me show the images..."Sorry, dynamic pages in the [IMG] tags are not allowed" so your goin to have to click on each one. i hope that helped.
