Do you want people to tell you that everything will be okay? Or does that never do the trick?

It doesn't do the trick, but it's comforting when people say it. Like, if they say it enough.. it might stick. Or it might happen.

I tend to prefer it over somebody saying "You're not going to be okay", most times. I tend to defer them and counter by saying back, "No I won't!" but it's still comforting to hear the phrase.

When people tell me that things will be okay, I don't believe them. There's always that possibility that things won't go the way you expect them to. On the other hand, I always tell people, "I'll be okay; I always am." Even if I'm not okay at the time, I know that I will eventually be.

I don't need others to tell me everything's okay.
When it's the truth, I believe in it.
When it's not, I try to make it okay.

I prefer somebody to tell me what a little bitch I'm being and how I should suck it up/get over it/work harder/stop whining, etc. Saying "Omg honey, it's all gonna be fine, sweetie!" doesn't help a bit.

It never helps so I prefer that they refrain from saying "everything will be ok." Usually my friends have a tendancy to say it. I just ignore it.

As rude as it may seem, I don't tell people things will be okay, because I HATE it when people say that to me. I don't believe them, esspecially when I'm going through things they haven't gone through.

Depends. If one asks sincerely, then fine but if its one of those fake "Are you okay? Things are going to be okay!" just to try and be nice but not really sort of things...then it just irritates me.

It helps in a different way. It doesn't literally make me feel better, but at least it lets me know that they really do care. And that's enough for the time being.

It's nice to know that they really care, and that helps me up a bit, but after the millionth time saying "NO I'M NOT OKAY BUT YOU CAN STOP ASKING ME", it gets annoying.

I really hate how when people like. Trip and fall and maybe scratch their knee a little bit, EVERYONE within a five mile radius comes and crowds around.

They're like those seagulls in Finding Nemo. stubborn.gif

Lately, I'd rather have people just tell how it is. Not how we hope it to be.
I guess I've been told "It'll be okay" and such too many times for me to actually believe it, because it doesn't happen quite often.

Either it just goes away and isn't dealt with (which isn't my definition of it being okay) or it simply doesn't change. *shrug*

I like when people tell me it'll be okay. It does help (me) a lot of the time, depending on the situation.
Like uhm, I was talking to my friend just the other day about some stuff going on with my parents. And he was like "Everything will be okay". Well, it kind of made me feel a little better. And after a few days, everything was okay.
