I think I might still have feelings for my ex... Options

I usually talk to my friends about this stuff, but scince all my trustworthy friends are grounded, I decided to ask yall on here.


Ok I'll start from the beginning: 2 years ago I found out my ex (we'll call him...Joe)
liked me, and I liked him & we started going out. The problem was that he lived in in a different state & I live here. Every Christmas & Summer he comes down here
to visit his dad since his parents are divorced. So we hooked up in the summer, and we traded addresses since he doesnt have a computer. He said he'd write me first, and he never did. I was like ok..... so I wrote him, & he never wrote me back until about 2 weeks before he was coming down here for xmas break. So I decided that it just wasnt gonna work out, so I was gonna break up with him when he came back down for xmas. Well he came down to talk to me & stuff, but I felt bad about timing & I decided to break up with him the next day. So then I talked to his sister, and she said she wasnt supposed to tell me this, but that he was gonna take me down to these empty storage buildings & play me a song & give me a present....I thought that was really sweet. But before she told me this, I had already said something about breaking up with him. So she went home & stuff, and I guess she decided to break up with him for me. He didnt talk to me for a while, and if he did say something he was kinda rude about it. So I asked his sister why he wouldnt really talk to me, and she said he gets like this whenever someone breaks up with him....So I was like ok fine....thats immature....So they left. Ok to make this quicker, lets take this to last summer. Last summer, he was really nice to me, and it was obvious that he liked me again cuz he was flirting with me a lot. Last summer I felt this way too, just not as much. Nothing really happened, we just became really good friends again. So this summer is comming, and the more I think about it, the more I start liking him again. He's really sweet and stuff, the only problem is the long distance thing. I really don't know...we are older now, and maybe we can handle it more though.....I'm kinda confused. I feel like he might be one of those people you will always have feelings for cuz he was pretty much my 1st love i guess?? I dont know... What are yall's opinions? I guess I just need some other people's insight about this.
