The Aislers Set
Sea Ray
Aveo
All-Time Quarterback (Ben Gibbard's old band... LO-FI goodness!)
American Football
Elbow
The Fiery Furnaces
Calls After Midnight (<33) they sort of remind me of Franz Ferdinand or Modest Mouse.. except better, IMO.
American Music Club
Anathema

And people mentioned Beulah a while back. They're awesome.

i absolutely love american football. i bought their lp about a year and a half ago, and i've been a fan ever since. it's such a shame that they broke up before releasing a larger amount of material.

there's something about frausdots that i enjoy, even though the singer's voice kind of gets on my nerves.

bleh, i really need to go on another downloading spree.

I'm not sure if Azure Ray can still be considered underground, but I heard their song "November" for the first time last week, and I really liked it. It sounds like the lead vocalist has a slight lisp, though.

"but you're so beautiful" by future bible heroes is really cheesy, but for some reason i still enjoy it. rogue wave and smog are decent also.

Have you guys heard Communique? (They're not all that underground) They've been on my iPod since I first bought it, but I've never actually listened to them (intently) until today. Here's "Perfect Weapon" for you guys.

Communique - "Perfect Weapon"

recently i've been enjoying a trillion barnacle lapse (which i'm pretty sure pauline mentioned early in version one), hint hint, the sick lipstick, and thunderbirds are go! also, if you're a big blood brothers fan, you might like the red light sting and ex models.

FARAQUET! I am absolutely obsessed with them. Although I never quite got in to "math rock", they are amazing. I love "The View From this Tower"
