I was wondering if you had sex and then a week or couple days later you have your period can you be pregnant? B/c when you have your period it means the egg was not fertilized so you wouldn't be pregnant right? or would you? help please

If you had sex a few days before and then you got your period, you are not pregnant. If you don't get your period than you could be pregnant. Having your period is a sure way of knowing your not pregnant and that your menstrual cycle is working fine.
However, sperm can live in the female's body for several days but I doubt they can survive very long during your period. You can get pregnant on your period but it's rare. |

^ not necessarily. The period you get might be from the egg let out a few weeks before. You could still get pregnant from the egg that will be released in another two weeks or so. Sperm can live for several days but your chances for pregnancy are slim..

If it was a few days after your period...then your chance of pregnancy would be slim to none....no actually.....99% none....but anyway....because you had sex a few days BEFORE your period....then your chances of pregnancy are not slim to none but just slim....reason being because the sperm can live for a couple days...so I guess the only thing left is to pray that you're not pregnant?

you can get pregnant if you have sex b4 your period..but then if you get your period then you're not? i don't know...i'm confused about it too

Sperm can only live for a few days. Your answer is no. Now if you have sex the day before your period or on your period than yes there is a small chance you can become pregnant meaning some women can get pregnant while on their period. |

When you have sex, there's always a possibility of getting pregnant, unless your tubes are tied or the guy had a vasectomy. Condoms can break.
