Period and bad timing Options

Wow, so the last time I got my period was in May 2004. I first got it in Feb. 2004. So it's been almost a year. I got it again on Sunday. what the f**k. this wednesday (tomorrow) there is a camp thing for 8th graders. it's like a over-night field trip, really. you do all these activites. but i got my f**king period. it's been almost a year, and i get it NOW. tell me, what bad timing.

so this is gonna sound really dumb, but is there a way to reduce the time you have your period? haha. i don't know, i just want it to end tomorrow.

That sucks. I got mine once a day before the biggest/best night of my life.. My first concert, so I can sympathize.
As far as I know, you can't really do much to stop it. Sorry. :/ Good luck!

Yes, it sucks having it on the day you REALLY don't want it. But life goes on... just live with it.

The same thing happened to me... I drank Coconut Juice and got it the same day. Eh... what do ya know now? DO NOT DRINK COCO JUICE UNTIL YOU ARE CLEAR!

ok, i first STARTED my period in feb. 2004. where i was all wtf is this red stuff. my last one was on may 2004. which means it was regular for 4 months. Up til last sunday, i haven't gotten my period.

and i'm going tomorrow. damn.

Aww that sucks.
But I know how you feel.
It was like a day before I went to Las Vegas and I got my period.
So I couldn't go swimming.

i got mine on class day, wasn't a problem.

but i started cramping like hell on the day i needed to play tennis and i was sick on the day of a final.

it sucked.

and actually, i think there's a way to shorten the length. it's supposed to not necessarily be very healthy nor good for you, but there are these pills i think that you can take so you'll get less periods a year. hmm.

My period always ends the day before important activites. I mean really. When our class went to Sunsplash, it ended the day before. When our class was going to go Mike Greenwells it ended a day before. When I went on a drama field trip (with no bathrooms) it ended the day before. The day before FCAT (your not allowed to go to the bathroom the whole day. Your supposed to take care of that business before you come to school) it ended the day before. LUCKY ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

first yr for periods are always strange, and bad timing..i know..

i don't think there is a "way" to reduce it...i know..it stinks...just TRY to have a good time without it..even if it IS in the way!

Wow. You're period didn't come for a whole year?! How lucky. But yeah. It sucks that you have it right before a big event. But there really isn't much you can do when your period is irregular. :\

Is liek your period knows when something big is coming up, anything special, and has to make it bad.

my period always comes at the worst times...it does for everybody. and no i don't think there is anyway to stop it unless...you try reverse phycology. like say "i don't want my period to go away!" or "i want my period to come really bad"

HAH!--I dont have my period yet, and im only 14!! I feel so lucky... Well my mom didnt get till she was 16, and one of my older cuzins didnt get it till she was about 18, so i guess it runs in the family...sry if i made u feel bad. its ok...but i have no experience....

i always wanted my period to come at first before i knew it was going to be hell. i got mine when i was 10-11? im turning 14 in july but ur so lucky...14 and no period yet. i envy you! lol

Yea we went to camp last year and I had a friend who just got her first period on the same day we went to camp...we had to go swimming in the lake everyday and she just stayed in her bunk and couldn't join us. Try to enjoy yourself the best you can. Try to take baths everyday at camp to eliminate the bacteria and odour...

There are pills you can take to shorten it, but I forgot what they were called. ^^;;

You can take birth control pills to help regulate your period, by the way.
