Spyware/Adware/Virus support, i second the others' opinions |

I'm sorry to make a new topic on this, and for being so critical, but I would like to add a few more things about a new sub-forum for spyware/adware/viruses. Many people said dispn0ygonekrazy's and my idea of having a sub-forum for Spyware/Adware/Virus suport. It may seem to broad, but many of the topics are about this, as you can see. I think Mike, myself, and many others on createBlog who are good at this kind of stuff could benefit others who have problems. Most of the posts are insufficient, for example "Run ad-aware," "Run Spybot S&D". This is only my opinion, and I know others' opinions will vary. We can also give people tips, and links to free, helpful spyware/adware/virus prevention and cleaning software. Please, let us know your opinion, and please tell us if you think this will benefit the others more to have a seperate forum devoted to help and tips for spyware/adware/viruses.

I agree with you on all that. The only problem I have with it is that, IMO, there are too many sub-forums already.

I totally support this idea. However, as mentioned above, the problem would be where to place this "new forum". It would be too messy to go under technology.

hi,
as said before, the topic would be too narrow to warrant its own (sub)forum. in the first page of the tech forum, only one topic concerns virus/mal/spyware support. |

Hmm...perhaps you could pin a topic in the technology forum where people can ask for help regarding spyware/adware/viruses, and then people can help them there in detail.
I like the idea, but I agree, there's too many subforums as it is. |

This would be a great idea. ;) I have a problem with my computer restarting all of the time, and I'm not sure if it's spyware, adware, a virus, or a trojan so I can get the right software to delete it.
