can't stop flirting, with each other Options

I like my friend's bf (he is my friend, too) a little and he likes me a little also. We spend more time alone together than he spending with my friend alone (the gf). When he is with me alone, we keep flirting with each other. I am so scared that someday I would end up stealing my friend's man. And also, my other friend likes him too. The reason he spends less time on his gf because they don't have any same classes and recesses and lunches. And after school, they prefer to focus on their school work and their parents don't let them to be together. The fact is that I actually can see him all the time, hallway, lunch, recess etc. though we don't have any same classes and he comes to me whenever he sees me. I tried to back off, but he flirts with me more that way. Just to clarify here, I stop flirting with him but he still flirts with me. There is a rumor spreading all over the school that I am with him, I found out that it is that guy who has a crush on me and I rejected him when he asked me out, then he developed hatred on me so he started to spread rumors. The guy who flirts with me and I always disproving the rumors but it is hard to stop the prevalent rumors. My friend and her relationship with her bf is a secret, so she is sad when she knows about the rumor. I have the feeling that I am the person who weakens their relationship.

I am scared, really scared. What should I do?
