okay i dont know if this is the right forum or not, but oh well. im trying to type an essay paper on microsoft word, but when i try to go back to fix something, like add an extra word or fix a word it deletes. it also does that when i try to add a space between something. i dont know if i explained clear enough, but does anyone know a way to stop that?

Yeah, that use to happen to me.. before I found out what the problem was. It use to only happen once in awhile and I'd get all pissed off. But yeah. The Insert button on the top of the Delete button. Next to Home.

YES! I remember being computer illiterate and having to write essays upon essays in English classes... I almost cried once when I tried to go back to fix a spelling mistake TWO paragraphs before and the damn insert button problem hit me. I had to retype one whole paragraph before my brother told me how to get rid of insert.

Actually, the thread has two questions: has this ever happened to you, and how do you stop it.

The latter is easy enough to answer and has been answered more than once. The question that people should be answering now is: has this ever happened to you.

There shouldn't be anymore "press the insert button" reply. pinch.gif
