crush on my best guy friend., I'm gay, and I don't know what he is. Options

I posted a topic asking for advice on how to tell my friends I'm gay a while back. I've come out to all of them except one. My best friend who I think I'm in love with. It could just be an insane hormone haze or it could be a serious feeling that's not going away anytime soon. I'm starting to think it's serious. The reason I haven't come out to him is because I've always kind of mock-flirted with him as kind of a joke. It's just something that all my friends do. I'm worried that if I come out to him he'll start to think that the mock-flirting wasn't as much mock as he thought. Which wouldn't be wrong. I don't even know if he's gay. he's kind of effeminate and he tries to hide it I think, but he also is very christian,( Not so much he would hate me forever when I come out he would deal) but I think he could be using that to hide that he's gay or bi. I catch him staring at guys sometimes. Maybe it's just wishful thinking. I don't know. I really need advice on this.
