Old Friendships, kept alive or forgotten? |

I'm graduating from high school tomorrow (yay!) and today I was thinking about all of the friends I've made during my school years. I started thinking about how many people I've lost touch with over the years, and wondering how many I will lose touch with within the next few years as we go away to colleges or just being busy on the workforce (or both, heh). There are a precious few people who I'm almost certain I will keep in touch with, and others I want to try to keep in touch with. Some I'd rather have out of my life, and soon that will happen too.
Anyway, I guess my question is how many of you guys are still in touch with old friends? I still send Christmas cards to a few of them, or an occasional letter, but for the most part it is like many of my "best friends" from when I was younger simply dropped off the face of the planet. They are people with whom I exchanged those cute little braided friendship bracelets when I was little, which I no longer have either. Of course, being a military brat we haven't exactly had a chance to really settle down in one place until now, so maybe my experience is different from those of people who have been with the same people since kindergarten. |

I'm still in-touch with some of my friends since kindergarten.
though I lost contact with one of my 'best' friends in elem school.. heh. people remember her, but don't have her number or anyttthinggg. |

well i havent graduated or anything, but ive lost contact and drifted apart from a lot of people in these recent years... back then, i was upset, but now im happy.

I've lost contact with so many friends but I havn't graduated.
But my dad is still friends with one of his highschool friends and he's 56!! |

I lost touch with my friends from elementary school after I moved, but some found me on myspace so we just talk online for now.
I've also lost touch with some friends after middle school and right now in high school, only because they've changed. They don't talk to me anymore. |

I'm not in touch with my friends from kindergarden..i moved so i lost all my friends from kindergarden..i dont really keep in touch with my old friends...some of my friends from elemetry school i still talk to...

well, im still in touch with most of all my friends, cause they all go to my school and stuff.
but some, i dont, cause i dont want to. but those who have moved away&such i never keep in touch with. partly cause i didnt know them THAT well, and the other part cause they've changed, and .. yeah.. |

What I love about this question is the fact you dont know
who ur true friends are, If you still talk to your friends after H.S. like in a yr or 2 then you know those are the ones that are pure gold

I lost all touch with my elementary school best friends... its rather sad really...
 But now I will make sure I will keep in touch with the friends I have right now. |

from elementary school, there was me, and my two friends german and doho. chilled all the time. lost contact with them for a while. then, met up with them again. we still talk and all that. it's all good.

I'm in touch with some, but not all. We just lose contact. Some parents don't allow their child to talk to boys and I call them and the parent replies with a, 'she's not here right now', but i could hear the girls voice....

me and my friends were just talking about this the other day. we were all wondering if we were going to be together for the rest of our life (we're in 7th grade right nwo so its kind of a long way to go) well one of my friends Jue known me since i was 5 and we still are as close. It really all depends..i mean it is kind of hard if your going to be in different colleges then each other...
