When i start a new entry, the buttons such as Pic, Link, Smilies etc.. they don't work and i am trying to put a url into a link and just have the link say 'Play' is there any code or ANYTHING i can do to put this in an entry?

You can use HTML.
If you're talking about something like play. then just click "edit html" and type in <a href="URL">play</a> and replace URl with the URL. |

Those pic, smilies, links buttons don't work maybe because you have a pop-up blocker?
