i am trying to use divs to align my modules on the right side of my page. I was also going to attempt to put some modules on the left side of my page but I have to figure that out later after i fix my current problems.

here's my code and links to the sites.

SITE 1: WHAT I'D LIKE MY LAYOUT TO LOOK LIKE. *THIS SITE IS ON THE XANGA PREMIUM FREE TRIAL.

SITE 2: WHAT MY SITE LOOKS LIKE WHEN APPLIED TO NON-PREMIUM XANGA.

What is wrong with my code or is it just not possible to use divs for modules on non-premium xanga???

gah....all help is appreciated.

Seeing from trying to use different div for the code it wont work.. so im starting to think that it doens't work for xanga classic.. but there should be a way... but i guess you could just use div's instead of custom modules. _smile.gif

i know what's wrong, the same think happened to me and it pissed me off for a few days...until i realized that: the module code is supposed to be in web stats not the custom header

Stylesheet after all the modules, try grouping all the divs together in one larger div.... You can use a div within a div. -shrug- It works fine fore me.

I modified my code and moved the module divs to website stats. WHAT MY PAGE LOOKS LIKE NOW

As you can see, there are big gaps between the modules and I can't move the top module up any higher. Everytime I try and put a negative number, it cuts off the top half of the module or the module dissappears. I am getting quite frustrated. If anyone knows what I'm doing wrong, I'd really like to know.

here's my code: Custom Header Code

CODE: Web Stats

Uh... Exactly what link are you ending?
</a> <- At the very end of your code, delete it.
Negative numbers.... Are pretty much your only choice. Lemme see if I can fix this a bit.... I'll edit this post if I succed.

thanks to all who helped.

Chii's suggestion worked, but now the modules don't match my layout. gah.

I have two questions:

How do you change the width?
How do you change the background color?

Site with Chii's code: Site In Question

Here's the code that Chii sent me:

hey guys, if you could help me out as well I got a prob.

There's a skin I used called "You're My Angel"

Everything seems to be fine except for the fact that the entries are places directly under the left side instead of the right...

Does anyone know how to fix it?

If you could help, it would be greatly appreciated

..... I asked you if the one I did worked.... Because to me looks fine, but I'd like to know what it looks like for you before I just post up the code.

masked_musician - Mess around with the div layers.... It might actually be the preview. Sme of them are just a little.... Off. I'm thinking it's the preview thought because it doesn't look good in IE or Firefox.
