I havent hit puberty yet. so should I? I don't think so...
I hate being errr-of not apropriate age to shave. I get too embarrassed to wear swimsuits, shorts, or shirts that aren't long-sleeved. and I live in egpt, which is like the hottest country ever. how am I suppossed to survive???? |

i shave once in a while... but when i do i have to shave for like two or three consecutive days or it itches when it comes back the next day... but i usually just trim.

i do.
i think if you do it after a certain period of time you get use to how its going to feel and that will give you an idea of how often you should shave that area. i use to feel itchy and it would burn after but thats why you use shaving cream like you would on your legs and underarms. just be careful and don't shave it excessively. |

too funny of a topic to pass up. im i hate hair on anywhere cept for head, eyebrows, eyelashes and maybe my arms cause you cant really see it. so yeah i do, and the whole thing about it growing back, just keep shaving everyday or twice a day.
personally i think it looks much neater. |

For me it's an esthetic issue. There are several good reasons to shave your 'undercarriage', (shall we call it?) Health: I don't know about all that STD business, I've never heard that, a doctor saying having pubic hair helps reduce risk to exposure of STDs. I suppose it's possible and I'm not saying it's inaccurate, I just have never heard of it, and I read a lot, on myriad topics. Anyway... if there is not a bunch of hair down there, you can see how healthy your skin is and it's easier to make sure everything is clean and in proper working order. Appearance: A shaved undercarriage shows care for personal hygiene and looks attractive (to most people). I don't care if you're the only one looking at it or if you're a stripper. Feel: A shaved undercarriage allows more touch and more intense touch...if you care about that, ahem...  On to the logistical part: If you do decide to start doing it, you have to either do it on a somewhat regular basis, or put up with itching, or really put up with itching while you let it grow totally back out. I do it about once a week, that minimalizes itching and maintenance. I personally don't use shaving cream, but I think it's a good idea if you have really sensitive skin. It might make it hard to see down there, and you're likelier to cut yourself if you can't see what you're doing. You should go 'with the grain' and go slowly with small strokes and smooth out any wrinkled skin. I'll leave it at that. |
