How to use Replace-Any-Text script with a skin?, how to use script with a skin? Options

I used the Replace Any Text Script and the Replace Any Link Text Script in my Website Stats, but the "eProps" and "Comments" links in my blog are not replaced when I visit my public site (http://www.xanga.com/skin.asp?user=MindTraversingTheGap), but they are when I look at the links in my private site (http://www.xanga.com/private/home.aspx?user=MindTraversingTheGap). My site's skin is one I made myself; I don't know if that affects the scripts showing up in the skin.

How can I get the links to be replaced in my skin?

Yes, I put the code in website stats.

Perhaps the issue is that my skin is HTML, not script, so the script in website stats is not coming through (maybe instead of the regular Xanga with script added, the HTML loads instead), whereas when I look at my private page (for maintenance, etc.) the skin is not showing, so the script works for me to see it.
