When you finally thought you figured yourself out, thinking that all the walls you built will stop someone from shredding you into pieces, a person comes into your life and makes you panic when the slightest little thing doesn't work out the way you want it to. Stopping you from moving on in your path, and you just collapse, shattering your fragile self onto the floor, no hope whatsoever in mending those pieces back together. So all those years you thought you were gaining strength from your independence finally made you realize that it was a waste. 'Cause when the test finally came, you break down more than ever before and all those wise words you told your peers who were dealing with the same exact problem are all erased from your head and you're left helpless again, and again. You're selfish and not only hurt yourself, but the people around you. Knowing you should look up to Him and ask Him for help, looking up seems to be an impossible task. So he below is stealing your soul, and you fight helplessly, trying to grab your last breath of air. You knew all along that His hand was always in front of you, always prepared to save you...but then you're always so damn blind.
i'm pretty sure i wrote this when i was getting over a guy i liked for 3 years..just LIKED. and thought i came a longgg way, until i met this guy. or something. "He" in the writing splurge, is God. "he below" is referred to satan. go critics! |
