I finally took the time to actually code a better skin. And I used it on my site! And so I want to know what you guys think of it... figured I'd wait until they have the new skin system fully up and running before I try and submit it.

Just because I like the left modules does not make it defaultish. Please.

edit//I need input, please... for important reasons.

I really like the layout and color scheme.. the only thing that bothers me is the "our God is a" in the banner. I don't know what it is.. most likely because it's just a solid color.. it sticks out, it's not blended with everything else.. If you can edit it in Photoshop, try adding a stroke.. or change the opacity or layer type so it blends smoother. Other than that, good job. ^^

i dont think that "consuming fire" is good in scriptina..something more grungy maybe..scriptina is too happy.. also, i agree with "our god is a" text part. do something to it..cuz it looks blegh compared to the rest of the graphic.

I agree, the "our God is a" seems plain compared to the other words that are all Photoshop-ed up.

Looks Nice

-The "Our god" font is really different from the other font
-The modules look really defaultish, how bout some custom modules?
-The main text is closer to the right edge that it is to the modules os it looks slightly unbalanced.
-Good job on the banner

oh my goodness, guys, thanks for the honest opinion!

Yeah, the text in the banner was the downfall. I couldn't find a really good font for "consuming fire", and I didn't know what to do with the "our god is"... I have Paint shop so I can't just add a stroke.... and I didn't want to do the same glowy thing so I just kind of glowed it sideways, but you can't even tell.

I couldn't get custom modules to work right!

And in my browser (firefox 1024x768) it looks even... well, I'll keep tweaking ;)

Any ideas for better fonts? I need to go font-shopping!
