15 for a permit and 16 for a license. But, you have to have your permit for atleast 3 months and 25 hours of practice logged onto a sheet. This is in illinois btw.

Here in California its 15 1/2 to drive(permit) and 16 to get your license.... I was kinda lazy and didn't get it til I was 17, but atleast I have it now and can drive and have a car
