Okay, I was just wondering how many of you guys have a good relationship with your dad.

I don't and I don't know why, I try and try to make ends meet but they just don't and I wish that I could have a father son relationship.

I tried to make a relationship too but he's too stubborn and just an overall jackass to me. I mean he's a horrible father because he just treats us like crap and from time to time pretends to be this perfect father but ends up screwing me over. Argh, I gave up trying to establish a father figure and I see him as just a permanant guest in the house I live in. I know its cruel, but meh its how I feel about him

since im a girl, i will talk about my brother and my dads relationship.

currently, my brother is a senior in high school. he hasnt talked to my dad since sophomore.

my dad just doesnt see eye to eye with kids. in fact, im not sure if he can even understand our generation.

Me and him get a long okay. but if you tell him something he'll talk about for a long time and once when we were in a library he was like: JONATHAN (my name) TIME TO GO. He's loud and so at time's I'd get embarrassed..

my dad lives very far away and i only see him twice a year...

My dad annoys me a lot and he pries way too much. He also just makes me feel uncomfortable. I don't know why. He just does. And he can't take a f*cking hint. I mean, I love him and all but... he just pisses me off.

But I do know that he's a really good dad in the end and he cares and sometimes I feel ungreatful. But... that's just how it is.

if you have parents who were born in a different country, then this situation cant really apply to you. If your parents were 1st generation and you were 2nd, the two of you will probably have a poor relationship since hes not accustomed to our "ways"

i've an okay relationship w/da, but he's gone like 50% to 70% for work and we tend to piss each other off somtimes, specially when we're in bad moods.... also, when my mum's mad at me, he cant let her deal with it, he always gotta get involved and that really pisses me off, which in turn, will lead to him gettin pissed off. so... yeah.

i think i go as much as a week without seeing my dad, although he comes home at night. and when i do see him, its just a quick peck on the cheeks and i dart upstairs into my room again.

it's the same as my brother. he lives in the house still, but i see him on an average of 2 times a month. and those 2 times, we don't talk.

I have a great relationship with my dad, since my mom is not there, he has to make up for that gap in my life, and so far, it's been great. Although we have those odd arguments, or he gets on my nerves, or he shouts at me for some stupid reason, I still love the ol' guy ^_^

i got a good relationship with my dad. he is a pretty kewl dad. He never yells... but when he does its pretty freaky ^_^. But he isnt that strict... my mom... she is strict lol but my parents are kewl (no divorce or abuse lol)
