Ever since the first day I laid my eyes on you, you had me under your spell. Your long dark lashes and joyously round cheeks, I see them even in my sleep. You've been through so much and come out with a smile. There's so much I'd like to tell you, I hope you have a while.

Your soft scent is the air I like to breathe. When I call your name and you run into my arms, I cry hoping this moment will last forever. I know you have a long, hard road ahead and I want you to know that I'll always be here for you, as you always are for me. When I cry, you ask no questions. My little teddy bear you are. When I've had a hellish day you come to my rescue and put a smile on my face. As we watch your favorite movie...the fact that you always look back at me, expecting me to belt out your favorite song. I look forward to these small, bright moments. You expect nothing from me, nothing except unconditional love, and I'm helpless but to give it. You've done so much for me already. You've saved my soul.

I want to thank you. For then, for now, and for times to come. The cartoons you'll want to watch will forever keep me young. The attention you need will forever keep me grounded. The love you give will always keep my heart soft and warm. You've been a blessing, oh brother of mine. Thank you for the tears you let me shed. Thank you for the laughs with me you shared. I wrote this for my two year old brother Shawn. He's kissed the lips of death three times and come back to me each and every time. It's going to get harder, but no matter how busy I am, I'll drop anything and everything for him. My source of strength and inspiration for life. I love him more than myself.
