I always carry: Keys, moneyclip (regardless of whether I have money), card case, pocket knife, USB data-storage device.

Optional things include: excedrin, aleve, asprin, cell phone, a larger knife, more keys, writing tool, gum, mints, candy.

I want a BACKPACK OF STEEL!

I was kind of wary on saying what kind of knife I optionally carry around, but if someone else admits to a switchblade, I guess I should be a little more honest. Whenever someone makes a death threat on me (which is strangely often if I choose to talk to people in this damned town), I typically keep my spring loaded pen knife with me. It practically stabs people for you!

well, i find a razor blade the most versatile.

i don't dare put it straight in my pocket tho. i have a nice dispenser, if i care to carry them. which is practically never, but still.

i much prefer lighters. fire's more beautiful.

Optional items I forgot to mention: Torch lighter, flint & steel, small flask of butane. I carry them less often than my normal optionals though. If I know there is a higher probability chance I'm going to get stranded, I will always bring them. You can't go wrong with flint steel & butane, just as long as you keep them all separated until you want to use them. ^____^;

you guys...are tryin to be macho by carrying around a knife?

lemme as you something...would any of you even have the balls to stab someone? directly?
forreal now...you going to get caught up bringing a switch blade with you everywhere? if i'm not mistaking, switchblades(automatic knives) are illegal in california.
if you carry a knife around without the balls to stab someone/use it...whats the reason in bringing it anyways? make an appearance to scare enemies away? hell you're better off with your fist.
You going to use it for protection? hell you're better off with pepper spray. at least you dont get caught up with pepper spray.

I dont know about where you live...but shit...around here, you pull out the knife, out comes the guns, knives, and weapons ect. its better off to just stick with fist, then things wont get complicated.

Unless you're trained in knife fighting, a knife is more likely to harm you than another person.

I live in a strange town where yuppies and rednecks live side by side. I don't do anything to be "macho". I don't show my knife to anyone. Only one of my friends even knows that I have it, and I won't pull it out unless I have recieved an advance threat on my life. Pepper spray doesn't work on some people, a knife works universally if you know how to use it.

I hate violence. Can we please go back to talking about the fun stuff that was in our pockets? I sometimes carry with me pokemon water squirters!

Justin, I remember that day you IMed me and you were like, "I just lit my hand on fire."

I was very confused.
You are such a strange little boy.
But I love you so.

Anywho, to contribute to the topic..I'm not a boy and I can barely fit anything in my pockets, so I will say what I carry in my purse.
  • Wallet
  • Writing Utensils
  • Mascara, Lipgloss, and Compact
  • Various important papers - there's always at least one in there.
  • Cell phone
  • Digi cam (when it wasn't broken, and I'm getting a digital SLR soon but I won't be able to carry that in my purse unless I revert back to my suitcase type thing...)
Hmm..that's about it.

Thank you for getting us back on subject, Sammi. I like your nice bulleted list.

And to the pyros in here, I share your love of fire, but I don't think that's what this thread is about. We should make a Pyromaniac appreciation thread?

zippos...they suck up so much lighter fluid >:|

lol this is totally off topic, but when i was in 6th grade we used to pour gasoline all over the concrete in the backyard and light it on fire and play firefighters with the hoses and buckets of water...sometimes it'd get worse XD once we burned my buddies moms roses
