You're kidding right? Better controllers?

If we are looking at the controllers on paper (which is the only fair way to do it since the PS3 isn't out yet), the Xbox 360 controller is a huge improvement over the original Xbox controller. Meanwhile, it is widely accepted that the PS3 controller is a step backwards from the dualshock.

I bought a 360 and I'm completely satisfied with it. It was definitely worth the 400 bux I've worked for. But no games yet for me, only demos, which isn't bad. Everything from the harware to controller to games is great. I'm not planning on getting Revolution and PS3 at launch, I think the 360 is enough for me to last 2 or 3 years have passed, the time the price for Rev and specially PS3 have dropped. I appreciate the 360s capabilities, Live(which PS3 is being like a dog and bite it), and everything else.

I seriously reccommend you buy games for the 360. At least play geometry wars. Get Project Gotham Racing.

My bf has a xbox360 and he bought games for it. The graphics look amazing and you should definitely get Kameo :D I believe it's called elements of power?

Anyways, about your article... you did drift off rom xbox haha. Although your initial intent was direct towards the 360, it's true that we can't help but desire more things once we have it. It's practically a cliche. There will always be better things in the future.

Also, the PS3.. the controller looks weird, but hey I know nothing about how it'll work. I'm not much into video games and/or consoles. tongue.gif
If only there would be an XBox handheld... IF ONLY.. *sigh*

Although it is true that technology is increasingly improving, the REAL, HARDCORE hardcore gamers are the ones that celebrate all those old school stuff. IDK what you're talking about -- the xbox 360 vibe is still hitting us, as everyone does want the 360. Who knows what the future might bring? (I wish it was an xbox handheld.. m... Tetris World... )

the 360 is pretty good. I do like it more because it's media center friendly and I just happen to have a media center OS. With bittorrent, the 360 is awesome for me.

I'm waiting for my bro to get the wireless adapter, the LAN wire is a nuisance. =o

and PS3 is losing steam rapidly right now, isn't it?

nba live is complete garbage on the 360. it only has 2 modes, no franchise/dynasty mode or nothing. not at all like its ps2 counterpart. go get nba 2k6 instead if you want a basketball game

Yeah I agree, I guess we'll have to wait for Halo 3 and see how successful 360 is.

I did buy a game like two weeks ago with the money I got from that Manny Pacquiao fight... I bought Perfect Dark Zero, and I thought, "Fuuuudge Yeaahh....Good thing I bought a 360!" The Story Mode is alright, but the Online is reallly great! I mean, I personally think its the best online first person shooter right now...

Oh yeah, for the person who said RAM is much better on PS3...I don't really think its that much better. PS3 has 1.8 Terraflops(I think it has something to do with loading times) .8 better than the 360. Plus 360 has more video and system memory(twice the memory for PS3). PS3 has 550 MHz Graphics Core Clock Speed(50MHz more than 360.) CPU wise 360 will be better from what I'm hearing from people. The graphics, 360 wins slightly...something to do with the pipelines... 360 has 48 while the PS3 has half of that... In addition, ATI(the company the 360 chose for its graphics card) just released a new graphics card a month ago and its better than any graphics card for PC including Nvidia and PS3(also Nvidia graphics card). But the 360 still surpasses it, and it will surpass it 'til mid of next year...

Anyways don't ask me how I know that...My friends bro just told me that and I just happened to remember some of it by Memory...But I don't know he could be wrong... I could care less since i'm gaming in next gen right now and not waiting...haha joke...

The increase from 1.0 TFLOPS to 1.8 TFLOPS is an increase of 80%, which is quite a big deal. The PS3 can perform 800 billion more floating-point operations per second, which is an incredible increase in computing power. The PS3 also features the Cell processor, which, while complicated, is an amazing piece of computing machinery.

Of course, there is more to a gaming machine (and any home computer) than raw technical specs—but the PS3's computing power is nothing to scoff at.

x-box does have better graphics, all it really does is tighten the anti-aliasing.
but since ps3 is coming out later, i have a feeling its gonna be reversed where ps3 is gonna have slightly better graphics than the 360.
but yeah, playstation does have a better variety of exclusive games. i think nintendo even has a better variety of exclusive games.

Yes thank you, I take that back, it DOES, although like I say before, Sony seems to have the interesting games.

^^wow that's one stupid respones...I apologize if that offended you... 360 is definitely worth buying. The reason why 360 didn't have full backwards compatability is because of its specs(from what I heard). Sony did a stupid decision by choosing Blue-Ray instead of a DVD-Drive. If PS3 doesn't cost 900 dollars money will be lost on sony's behalf. 360 made a cheaper computer console with great graphics(better than any PC up to date, and PS3 from what I'm hearing). All the PS3 is doing are either bad decisions or good decisions. bad by announcing PS3 launch is on spring then when spring hits they say september, which can get irritating for PS fanboys. Good by teasing PS fanboys, teasing them out of the 360 and making them wait expecting for the PS3 to be wayyyyyy better. 360 is great, only ones that say it sucks are the ones who doesn't have one and hugging Sony's balls. All three nex gen system are going to be expectacular, but Sony is not really showing their creativity by putting that controller, that font, and the attemp to bite Xbox Live. Sony is lagging the PS3 giving the 360 time to lauch its 2nd and 3rd wave or even more of games. Revolution is gonna be great, seing on how its gonna be played.

Oh yeah, Sony also has histories of overhyping its system. And from the article I read a month ago, a Sony employee working on the PS3 commented on the PS3 vs 360 topic got fired for saying 360 is better. Sony is doing alot of things wrong. 360 has done some things wrong too. And Revolution, I don't thing they did anything wrong yet.

1) Why is Sony stupid for choosing Blu Ray?

2) All systems, with the exception of Nintendo of course :), lose money for every one. They gain money in game licensing, stuff like that. And then when productions costs lower tremendously, and they only lower their prices by 50$.

3) How is the 360's graphics better than any computer to date?

my bf just bought the 360 with the hard drive yesterday. and he bought madden 07 and another wireless controller. i love it. one of my favorite things is the fact that i can turn the console on and off with the controller. :)

now i just need the media remote. and the battery quick charge kit.
