hmm thats really somewhat odd next time someone says it i would most likely ask which one they mean because thats kind of odd .. when people say spanish people i usually think they mean latino? i never really thought of them meaning people from spain

In the NYC area we say "spanish" which means hispanics, puetor ricans, dominicans, panamanias, ect.

it all depends on where they are from. Spanish refers to the people that come from Spain but its true definition has been lost so we technically everyone spanish. if they aren`t from spain, then they are Hispanics or Latin Americans. all in all it depends on where they orginate
