I've been working on my brother's site, trying to get him a simpler look to his Xanga. Flipeasy is his site.
The problem I'm having is, on his comments page, all the comments are not centering on the div image like his xanga posts are. This is the code that is put in for each of his posts : to keep his posts centered on the image. Unfortunately it's not working for his comments. Is there anyway to fix it so his comments are centered (with scrolling possibility) on the div image?..also, if you have time, is it possible to get his normal posts centered on the div image without having to paste the code (listed above) before each post? (i.e. not having to edit HTML and paste that code in every time he posts.) Any help would be much appreciated. -Milenrei p.s. this is the coding for his xanga...forgive me, I know it's messy, but I'm still new at this. : ---Header--- ---Website Stats--- |

I see your problem there...it's cuz of the image background of ur blog and when people prop really short the background is there but cut off to fit the amount of the prop...if i get the description right..Perhaps you can try to change the font color so that people can view it more or you can try using this code here..i'm not sure if it will help ur problem but it's worth a try...here..

Thank you for trying to help, you got the description right, unfortunately the code you linked me to I had already found when using the search function to see if anyone else had this problem before me.
I did try it though, and I must be doing something wrong, whenever I go to preview after putting in that code, I get closed out of Xanga completely. (My IE window closes out). I could look for a script that could change the font, as you said, but is there really no way to have the comment boxes defaulted to a specific size and the text field for those boxes placed so that they are centered in the comment box? But thank you for trying to help, if this cannot be done, then it can't be done, and I'll try something else...but if it can be done, please inform me. I'd really like to get my lil' bro's site spiffy lookin. -Milenrei |

Well, I haven't come across a code that customizes the size of your comment box. There is another code though that helps you change the color of the background of the comments i think...try this here..
http://www.createblog.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=35132 ps. I just checked it out and it says u can change the height and the width & background...lolz..so I hope that's what you wanted so just try it out and tell me if it works. |

Sorry it's been a while and I wasn't able to reply, but I'm back again and I tried that last code you sent. It did fix one problem that crept up, with that code I was able to resize the comment box you write in to fit his page.
but, still having the same problem with his comments showing up in the top half of the image. is it because of this part: where it changes the blogbody to have that image as a background? Does that also affect the background of the comments? (not the comments box the actual comments people have left) Is there another way to change the actual blog background image without it affecting the comments? Or should I just change it? (I'm seriously contemplating taking the background for the blog entries out alltogether ...it'd be much less of a headache. *lol*) But once again thank you for any assistance you may give me. :) -Milen |

The style class "blogbody" applies to a whole table, and the comments also take that class. From what I've tried (not very hard =p) I couldn't change the comment box background seperately.
