who was the mod and is there a link to the topic that was closed?

it was nicki (tweeak) and she closed it because i guess she thought they were duplicate topics. but they were on different concepts but the same show. (the two topics were about a show). wink.gif

er people get annoyed that the mod isn't doing their duty and therefore doesn't deserve the job? i don't know.

oh yes and steph gave me a good reason why my topic was closed so i appreciate that. yayy.

ok...well, as far as i could tell they were on the same thing. i've never seen the show before, so i don't really know. they were on the same show, so i just assumed that all discussion on that particular show would be fine in one topic. but honestly, it wouldn't have been that hard to gather why i closed it if i posted a link

I feel like moderators could be more active in other forums besides the locker rooms...or the lounge...or entertainment.

Forums like, Homework, Forum Games, Anime/Manga, Food, Health, Sports, Technology, Writing...
*

in my opinion, it's kind of hard to be active in those subforums. members themselves aren't active much in those forums so it makes sense to me that staff don't mod as much in those areas as, lets say the lounge or pictures.

The only reason that I wouldn't go to Fashion, Health, Food, etc often is if people don't post often in them. Then in View New Posts nothing would come up (my primary way to surf cB). So Fae makes sense when she says that it's hard to be active in there.

I probably wouldn't see a really old topic that needed to be closed, but that only means it wasn't recently posted in. If it wasn't recently posted in, then no more spam could've been accumulated, which means it's not THAT huge of a problem.

Yeah, I go into the interest subforums far more often than I do locker rooms. There's just not much to do. Can't say I visit cars or anime, though...

mzkandi & Roxy, you rock girls, great job, well done.
-

Some of the Mods love's too see ppl harrasing and argue, and all they do,is watch and laff i guess. IMO. Some are very nice and some .... no comment.

PS:About Becoming an "Official Member", if you have a "warn leve", how to become a "Official Member" if the Mod who gave you that warn level doesnt even answer to your PM ? kinda weird, since their Mods/Staff it should be their problem, even yes i know they dont have time for 39492394 PM's per day, but even after 1 year should be ok IF they will answer.

I really dont have any idea how many of that mods Deserve's to be one, because under that mask they are using with their friends is hiding something else that "WE" the usual members and so, don't have any idea. ( i didnt want to use the word "FAKE", its kinda rude)
just saying ...

PS:Sorry if i offend any of you,it wasnt really my intention.
IMO.only

I know all 'possible' things you can 'DO',on anykind of forum since i setup all kinds of forums for Endusers like CB everyday.

There are only 3 different things on all forums, 1 The graFX, 2 The Users and how many are they and 3 The Staff Members. (All are starting from the same Base with the same Basic things,The only difference between them are done by the Creativity of the Admin's)

But anyway it doesnt matter.

this was said before. when you say "some mods" that doesnt help, nor is it constructive. names please

also, i havent seen any mod let someone harrass and not give them some sort of warning. hell, i laugh at the arguments some of the people get into on here, but any thing that has gone over the top its been taken care of by someone.

Actually yes, they do give "some sort" of "warning" but not to those who are harrasing, because it seems those rulles doesnt apply for Mods friends, i guess, or they do give those warning without contacting the person by PM or something so he can actually understand why he got that warning level, so he wont do the same mistake again, but yeppers that's how things are going around here, lets all get some Mods around us and start talking BS and harras others because hooray we have "friends" with "priviledges" lol, and those rulles doesnt apply for us.

Anyway, it doesnt matter, because i wont be here to see the changes IF will be any, but i doubt of that.

LOL! you made me laff with this one,
And what you will do about`it ? if someone will give you names? and "they" are your beloved friends? i'll answer for you, Nothing. So that's why it DOESNT matter anyway.

I was just saying , that this such called Problem, it WONT go away, too soon, but its not my problem anyway. Since i saw all like's to kiss wussy for those priviledges, its they're way and choice but that doesnt mean i have to.

hey if it's your problem, i'm sure the mods would like to fix it, right? to make your cb "stay" the more enjoyable. it would help both you and the mods if you were more specific with names.

um... you seem to be undermining how mature our moderators are. if you will say what you set out to say instead of leaving things half way, maybe something can be changed. if you know no one is going to change, then why say anything in the first place? it wastes our time to read useless criticism. pinch.gif

and what will i do about it? you're thinking so narrowly that i worry for you. i don't work alone. modding is a team effort, believe it or not, and moderators do keep other moderators in check.

We always always ALWAYS give out verbal warnings before raising someone's warning level.
Reason for your warning increase:
QUOTE
spamming, being rude and typing unpleasant things incoherently after verbal warning

when closing a topic becuase it is a duplicate, can mods post the link to the topic?

that way it's easy to go to it to continue the discussion, and it proves that it can be found. some topics, because of strange topic titles, are impossible to find with a search.

and if no link can be found, then don't close the topic.

just a suggestion.

Yes you gave me the verbal warning for "helping" that guy with serials or keys dunt remember exactly, actually no, just for giving ideas. yes that's it, i gave an Bad idea to someone, that he can find what he was looking for if he will search in a Search Engine, since everyone can do that, dunno what was so wrong. But ive admited to you that it was my bad, because ive gave that idea, to search in a Search Engine.

This is most likely, like a revange, because i dont have the same opinion like others, and if they dont like my opinions and they get offended, Since it was a Opinion, like all we do have our own Opinion and maybe it will never be the same with Others.
So, my point is that i didnt got any PM from a CB Staff that ive done something worng, since i didnt do anything wrong then to respond from other Harrasing and BS about my PERSONAL&PRIVATE Life, since we are over the Net.
And that mod who gave me that warning level didnt send me an PM telling me, "Hey stupid f*ker, watching your lang, stop talking like or anything, any clue so i can know that ive made/done something wrong and from now on to not do the same mistake and get any other warning levels, since i didnt even looked at those, only after I asked x_angawhomps i foundout that tweeak gave me an warning level, and the reason is too general to understand that, so my point, knowing that you dont give WARNING LEVELS from 5 to 5 minutes to anyone around why dont you warn that person over PM telling what he done wrong so he can know, and not DO the same mistake again, and since i saw lots of noobs didnt know how to create another topic or even how to complete their profile, it will be a good idea to PM everyone when you do give those warning levels.

well, you know what needs to be heard or be out in the open? names. NAMES. actual people and examples, not just "some" and "they". this is kind of like the justice system, when you're accusing someone, you'd need evidence to be credible.

you're upsetting me because you're still leaving things halfway. this feedback forum was installed for the purpose of changing things for the better. nothing gets better when a problem is presented, but we do not know the root of the problem.

it's "kiss ass" by the way. i may sound inane for asking, but is english your second language?
