I don't know if Brianna is on holiday, but I haven't seen her around lately.

I saw her posting today... but not actively modding (i.e. moving/closing topics or posting in Xanga forums/webmasters' corner) or anything.

Well i think alot our doing a good jog moding..and well some abuse there power by saying this is close when the convo is good or i really dont know the girls name but one was kinda like lookin at all my replies and threating me to change my sign and erasing it...wthout asking me...i think it will be better to tell me then to erase it. and then one other mod was threathing me with some verbal punishment...just for writting and someone was writting back..and well i think you should get rid of mods who have bad additudeds because theres alot of newbies and i seen some mods be rude to them [ believe me when i was new i was a victim], and if your looking for a new mod im one...im always on and replying and helping

You need to specify which mod otherwise it won't help at all.

I gave out a couple of verbal warnings yesterday and just this morning. But seriously, there's no need for verbal warnings if a member was following the rules. If one was given, then most likely a member wasn't following the rules.

If I mistook you, most likely you were conveying the wrong message. You said this thead [cb Hate thread] is for repying to who you hate and that if I'm interested in a make up thread, then I should make one for that purpose. I merely told you don't play smart with me because you were. I only want people to quit replying to each other and creating more chaos but you said that's what the thread is for, WHEN IT'S NOT. We've gone through drama before in the hate threads and I simply didn't want it to happen again. If you meant something else, then I appologize for mistaking your intentions. However, I would ask that you be less vauge the next time you write something.

And about attitude, I've said this so many times I'm tired of it, so here:

3) Moderators are mature, however, we do have feelings just like everyone else. This should explain why we are ofttimes 'playful' and will respond sometimes harshly to PERSONAL negativity towards us. Being a moderator shouldn't mean we must rid ourselves of feelings. This is a ridiculous expectation.

I think you have a misconception. Moderators don't get paid for this "job". We volunteered for it and got chosen. Kind of like the Peace Corps. You send in an application to volunteer and you may or may not get chosen. Why shouldn't we act like members? This is the kind of "exclusive" perception that Mr. Acid was talking about. We are first members, then we mod. We follow the rules first, then we enforce them. If we shouldn't act like members, but better than memebrs, wouldn't that make us even more "exclusive"? Don't think of it as higher rank, think of it as volunteered police officers. Police are not better than citizens (they shouldn't be anyway), they just enforce the law. If you want to think about the military, I've never heard of higher ranking officers not being able to give an attitude to a private, have you?

For the record, I wasn't bashing you, I was enforcing the rules when you "played smart" with me. Are you saying that you weren't?

At this point, I'm pretty annoyed that I have to explained my actions when you were the one who questioned me in the first place.

the webspace thing is true. its just a privalege they get for doing their job, if thats the way you want to think of it

anyway, getting hosting isnt really that hard... this is just another source, with a set of prerequisits like any other person looking to host.

uninspiredfae I didnt say you was bashing me, all i said and did was reposted what you wrote because i was fond of what you wrote and i bolded it so they could see perfectly what you wrote because someone said keep bashing and well 2 memebers did as told...and in the airforce they dont yell at each other...they yell when they are in training but thats all..well all im saying is that some people can be more polite and stop dissing on others this is c.b for creatblog not for controversy bloggers...and i think we all need to be grand that we all get along...i was suprised to see that this site has a hate topic and well that starts trouble....because if you see the last two volumes posted there about me nd still is...and well im not gonna get into that..well c.b if your looking for people interested in helping im willing to and mods who aint doing there jobs..just get rid of them....i know theres alot who are fond of having a job

Just to straighten things out, I think that backstage should be backstage meaning mods only. I mean, there should be someplace where mods can discuss without people bothering them and disagreeing with them.

Now, Justin, I respect you in many ways, but I cannot express how little I appreciate this whole "cb revolution" attitude that still continues even after you've dropped it. If you suggest ridiculous things like making backstage public, people will jump on the bandwagon and decide it's a good idea just because it seems to be in their favor. You of all people should be aware of this human nature, and so you really need to be careful what you start. No, Katt, none of this has anything to do with you

you mean the whole questioning authority and bending the rules thing? that is kind of the way i am, in real life and all.

now, i guess i shouldn't suggest "solutions" that i don't really support or anything, but this thread is about raising concerns (among other things), and i have a concern:

an answer to "why wasn't so and so active", or any other question, should not be "they posted it backstage, so stop complaining".

i, for one, understand the answers involving backstage, and such, but i also understand what members might feel when receiving such an answer like "stop jumping to assumptions they do stuff backstage"

you know, just a thought.
