I was talking with a good friend of mine and about how we want to get back in shape again before the summer. I'm not really sure how a gym is, some people love it others hate it and say theyre just out for the money.

So whats all your opinions and expierences with going to a gym?

Well, from what I've heard...Most gyms are usually pretty good and trustworthy.
I haven't gone to one before personally, but that's just what I have heard in the past.

I've never been to the gym before, but I know it's about time for me to start getting back in shape. Lemme tell you, for all that money, it better damned be well worth it, y'know? Haha. I signed up for the gym, and it opens up in May. I'm gonna be there like everyday, w00t.

Anyway.. I think a gym is a gym and if you are devoted to get back in shape, going to a gym will help.. Long as you're devoted. I think its a good idea...

I've never been to a gym either... I guess it makes sense that you should go to the gym to get in shape, because as much money as it costs you would definitely be there every day and working hard on all the equipment! But I'm more for the "just go outside and run around a bit" routine. I think that if you're REALLY dedicated to getting fit, there is stuff you can do without paying money to go to the gym, you know? There isnt really a gym close to where I live, but now it is getting closer to spring so everyone walks or jogs.

a gym is good because then you're like "i spend $250 bucks on this a year..i should go use it now!"
so you will workout often.
on those awesome treadmills
and the double awesome arm machine..thingy.

I'm joining one this summer so I can get more tone and fit happy.gif

As long as you take advantage of it and go everyday or at least try to you will get your moneys worth. Don't join a gym if you plan on going once a week.

i've never been to one. but honestly i don't think i'd ever join. it would be a waste b/c what if i didn't go daily or whatever my membership was? then it would be a waste of my money ;x also i feel much more comfortable just working out at my home..another thing i would be too lazy to drive to a gym ;x plus my mom has to drive me..and i dont work out at a set time each day its whenever i have time, sometimes way late at night and yeah
