but once you edit it, it leaves a physical and a command trail to keep as evidence.

wait, so mods can see your original post even after you've edited it?

mhm....i dunno...we should be able to delete our own posts, but i guess if everyone started deleting their own posts, it would turn into a big mess, so it's good the way it is, atleast we can "edit"

no we can't unless we know that you wrote one thing at one time, then changed it to something else later on, but that's if we see the post both before and after the edit. maybe admins can, but mods cannot.

that is what i think too. i think that we all deleted our posts, it may seen a little disorganized. ermm.gif but i honestly don't see a reason why we would need to delete our posts. i mean, we haven't had that option at all on createblog so i think that we can live without it. whistling.gif

then what is he talking about? :|

i still think that editing can have the same "bad" effects as deleting.

OK new example:

Seonho makes a post about nothing and then spams in it 15 times. And then he deletes it all.

How annoying - to the server and the confused public when the thread suddenly dissapears.

EXACTLY. it's another way to attempt to get your post counts up. btw, i don't know for sure, but if you delete a post, you're post count will stay the same right? meaning it increases normally? or does it go down?

I believe so. I remember I tried it once on myself, since I double posted accidently. o.o Yeah, this way, it could create a LOT of spam. ergghhh.
There are goods and bads.. but.. I agree with Jeff. :]
No need for delete buttons.

I agree. I really do believe we all should be able to delete our own posts! It would probably help on the double posting issue, esp. when cB freaks out and posts 3 in a row =)

lol, yes. I saw someone that made a topic just to bring their post count higher. stubborn.gif _dry.gif

I don't think we should delete posts. I think cB is fine the way it is. And who cares if what you posted was really stupid or something...That means you should just pay more attention to what you're writing and that's also what the preview button is for. Also if it's stupid or whatever you can always edit it. Also, because I think you guys were saying post count doesn't go down after deleting a post and I don't think that's fair because we would have numerous amounts of spam and such and the person could delete it RIGHT after posting it and there post count would still be high. I think we should just leave it to the mods to delete double posts and such.

Wouldn't ur post count be all messed up then?

And you can just edit and delete everything... but wouldn't that be considered as spam? haha
