i just turned on my computer and EVERYTHING is gone!!! all my files, my music, my password auto things... my favorites list... EVERYTHING!!!
 how could this happen?? is it really possible for someone to hack into your computer?? and why would they??

it coujld of been a virus. or maybe you did something? it could of been a variety of things.

mine would work one day and we had to recover it and it deleted everything on my computer
all my poems papers everything GONE!

this has happened to my friends before. i honestly dont know what to say because my computer has never "crashed" i'm terribly sorry. i know that this wont be of any good use to you now but you should definately start making backup cds/disks, just in case a similar case like this happens again >_< so sorry dear^^

i had to delete everything for my mom b/c there was a virus...sorry to hear about that...next time u should put all the important information on a disk...for back up...

i dont know--from what i've seen, viruses, like to slowly, randomly eat up files. i dont remember seeing any that actually like to delete entire folders

maybe you logged onto a different user. Sometimes it does it automactically. It would log in a default mode.

^ hhaha that might've happened.
Anyways, wait so when you went on your computer and logged on, was there a screen that said your files were deleted? Or did you just log on and notice that everything is gone? Wait.. what about programs? Your parents or something could've gone on the computer and deleted everything, you never know. Don't jump too quickly to the conclusion that it's a virus. If you found out that no one tampered with your computer and/or files, THEN get an antivirus program and go clean out your computer. Then reinstall everything. It's good to always have a backup of everything...

You never know, someone could came into your house and changed the hard drive in the cpu, or your computer is just screwed over.
