I watched 'Closer' atleast 3 or 4 times in the last 24hours.. call me a loser but i f*ckin well enjoyed the movie. and its rare that i do that, its officially one of my favorite movies ever. i loved the script, the concept, the realism, the ironies, everything.. and it all just reminded me of a well portrayed play - the style of it. and it turns out that it is a screenplay!! written by some guy named patrick marber - freakin awesome.

if you saw it and didnt enjoy it its probably cuz ur either not old (or experienced) enough to understand or you didnt really concentrate while watching it.. cuz this is not just a typical love story movie trust me..

any feedbacks? btw if you havent seen it dont be a moron n bother to post 'i havent seen it' -_-" lol

click here to see info bout the movie n trailers n such

i luved it, it was raw and intense. Plus, clive owen is one of my favorite actors of all time, and i actually met him last year... hehe.

a lil trivia for u: clive owen was actually in the play version of this movie, and in the play, he was cast as Dan (jude law's character) and not Larry (his role in the movie).

I can't say that I liked it .... and I am a pretty big fan of Mike Nichols as well as Natalie Portman. And I'd like to think that I understood the film pretty well.

btw, when you say that the film is a screenplay, its a bit redundant since every film "is" a screenplay. I think what you meant to say was that it was originally a play that was later adapted for the big screen.

I can appreciate the film for being, strictly, a character study .... but not for a film. It was very unconventional and unorthodox in its pacing and I suppose I can give it props for that, however, the film, to the bare bones, had 5 scenes in total and had no development at all. I think the concept of the film is more theatrical than cinematic. It's better off left to be performed on stage.

also, how did you manage to watch it 3 times in the past day? The DVD isn't out and it has made its way out of theaters already.

Yes. I enjoyed it. It did make you think and I love how they kind of left the ending out in the open for you to interpret yourself (what happenned to "Alice" or "Jane").
