explosions of light Options

ive seen these pictures where there is light radiating from the person's head...like those pictures of jesus and the light radiating behind him.....then theres also another picture where the light is radiating from the edge of the picture and reaching towards the ppl in the picture....kind of like

/ | \ ....yes...like a sun sort of...cept the circle is the person...and then light...
and the inverse of that drawing...where the light goes twds the circle..

and kind of like spirited freak sig here
..just Ctrl+F spiritedfreak....(im afraid to C+P the sig b/c i hear ppl get mad if u do O.o)
so in the sig....theres like...kind of explosions of purple light...so how do u do that in photoshop cs?

uhh thats not the link to the signature it was a link to frankie's skin and the recent photo thing they look like normal photos to me.. please show a better example

well you can make a gradient as the background and do the Radial Blur filter. and change the settings around to see what sort of effect you want. make the quality best and do 100%.

hm. yes. it is lens flare...but w/o the extra circle of light around it...any way to only get the starry light ray thing w/o decreasing the size? and how would i inverse the light ray thing? so instead of going out...it goes from the edges and reaches in..b/c ive seen pictures w/ that effect and it looks so cool lol
and gotnoheart...that doesnt really work =\ all im getting is a big blotch of color O.o...are light rays sposed to come out or something?

i was talking about the circled part of the "recent photos" picture...where there r rays of light or something reaching in...then in spiritedfreaks...the stuff is everywhere...the center of the avatar..the rays of going outwards..and in the sig..theyre reaching in..that what i was talking about..so anyone know how to do those..=\?

Hm..... Zoom filter. As in take the lens flare and zoom-filter it. Well, that's what it looks like SpiritedFreak did........ I dunno. You have to zoom something. That's all I know.

hm..actually...i dont think its lens flare anymore..heh..im trying it now..and it doenst look like the example..and even when i zoom in..it doens work either =\

for spiritedfreak's signature, there is a tutorial on cb for it.
edit- click here. after that, you can use the radial blur filter.

well if you have psp9 then it`s an effect on the Effect Browser. If it's photoshop or paint or another program I have no idea...

explosion light... reminds me of brushes. there is lots of brushes of explosion light. i dont remember which site it was but i had listed of brush site that i found while browsing. just go to big book of resources, sorry -_-;
