lol.. it could be cuz its a "mental" thing..
u can argue on and on but yeah.. and u do use ur arms and physical stuff... its like saying pool is a sport.. |

Chess isn't a sport but its strategies can be applied to life. But that still doesn't make it a sport.

well there's many types of chess.. u got suicide and other types and there fun games...
chess is mental and if u play complicated "leveled" games.. u might actually have to stand up. |

personally, I think it is a sport. you have to work your mind so much harder than any other sport. just because it's not physical, doesn't mean it's not a sport. you still have to strategize and definitely compete.

Yes, it is a sport.
The real definition of "sport" is anything that is different from your usual routine. That is the original definition of the word "sport." That is what we learned in Latin when we were studying derivatives. |

how is it not a sport? there are many different types and chess is an activity with lots of pressure(even though it's not physical) and competition. that's what other sports included such as football, but with physical pressure. der
