i guess for many it might be dress code, but where i come from the rules are kinda dumb

& hats are not allowed for they are a "distraction"
& electronic devices (mp3/cd players etc) are "prohibted" but no one ever cares
& having/buying a soda before lunch or after lunch
& cards are not allowed because you can "gamble" with them
& homemade food cannot be brought to class for like a project or something, it has to be store brought (some new texas law)

we cant have hats at our school because its rude to have them in a public place or something...

and about the soda thing, were not allowed to by soda during lunch. like they turn the pop machines off in the main cafeteria because they are within 50 feet of where food is being served. weird? yes. but there are others that you can use.

and we cant have cd players/cell phones or we get them taken away. they used to be fine.

dumbest rule? hmm. i dont think many of them are dumb, but i dont pay attention. we used to have one in 6th grade that was you cant chew gum or you get detention. let me define detention. staying after school for 1-3 hours. its not like you go there during schools like they do in movies (or maybe at other schools) but since sixth grade its been changed to only 1 1/2 hours and you cant talk.

Lmao this is funny because my school has the DUMBEST rules ever. If you're on the teachers good side, then it doesn't matter but if they hate you, you'll be sent home real fast. I think one of the funniest they've added this year is "No guys wearing make-up." Haha. We also have a stupid no PDA (Public Display of Affection) rule. And guys hair can't touch the shirt collar. Mine does

i think the stupidest is no sticking your feet out in the hall when your sitting along the wall while waiting for school to start.

One of the STUPIDEST rules at my friends school (not mine is)
When you go swimming you have to wear a one piece with shorts and a shirt over it

you have to go up certain stairs if you're in certain grades. the middle school is supposed to use the west stairs, whcih happens to be all the way at the end of the hallway.

you can't get breakfast in the caf if you're not in seventh grade yet.

Since school started back, and I'm at a new school with new rules... BUMP.


- No carbonated drinks in the cafeteria. Isn't that where we're supposed to have them, if anywhere?

- No bookbags. You must use your locker. Tote/shoulder bags are alright, but nothing on your back is permitted. We might strangle someone with the strap.

- No holes or threads hanging out of jeans or any other article of clothing. Again, we might take the string and strangle someone around the neck with it. String is just that deadly.

The rule that skirts/shorts can't be shorter than your fingertips if you hang your arms at your sides. Really, you try to find shorts/skirts long enough. It's darn hard. We just stretch our arms as long as we can.
