Braces, Things Keep Getting Stuck

I got braces for quite awhile now, things keep getting stuck. REally annoying, does anyone have any suggestions of how to get rid of the food that stucks aside from brushing teeth? tongue.gif ( i hope this wasnt a topic started already i ran it through the search )

there are these little things you can buy at any drug store that have bristles on the ends of them and you can stick them in between your teeth and wires. they're nifty. weeee! hehe.gif

i just use my tongue . tongue.gif which is very helpful . =) but rather than that if you really cant use your tongue to get the food out, use toothpicks. that is what i use now. my two front teeth get something stuck in there no matter what. =/ _unsure.gif

when i eat my sandwich at lunch i break it into peices. and i never chew anything with my front teeth, always in the back, and i bring a mirror to lunch. and later i'll use one of theose bristley things.

aha. yeah, i have braces too and i hate it when food gets stuck. pinch.gif i just use my tongue and it helps. i dunno of anything else that helps.

hmm i've never had braces... but my friends have this floss type stick thing they use mellow.gif you probably get it from the dentist or in the pharmacy section

i find that using your tongue doesnt get rid of all of it _dry.gif i hate that then i try swishing it with water but then just gets more stuck.. haha.. my bad experience thanks though happy.gif

Hmm. Well, when you get them for long enough, you'll master the technique of using your tongue/moving your mouth around to get food out. For now, just have a trusty mirror and toothpick and go to the washroom. =]

wax. swear to fred. my friend olivia had to get a wax stick and keep rubbing it on them so they would get caught on stuff.

i have the same problem. i use safety pins (like a toothpick) and chew gum. really it works. if that doesnt work then i dont know what will. hope i helped.

Yeah that's annoying...use your tongue, swish some water around, or get special floss for the braces.

yeah, i should know
i've had braces two times, and for five years now (yes, i am aware that my teeth are horrible.)
what i do is, after lunch i just run to a nearby bathroom to rinse out my mouth, cuz yeah, all five years i have had braces, i never brushed my teeth at school. heh.

Not only do I have braces, I have a quad and a lip bumper! A quad is at the roof of my mouth! IVE HAD IT IN SINCE JANUAWRY AND AM GONNA HAV IT FOR A YEAR sad.gif !!!!!!!! The lip bumper makes my bottom lip stik out so I'm always doin the puppy pout! My friends always make fun of me.... cry.gif ermm.gif o well. It stinx though W/E!

i used to have braces. my dentist said you cant chew gum but i did anyways. I used to chew gum and it got the food out of the braces. or, when no ones looking you could use you finger. ermm.gif LOLS

what do you eat with the braces on? your not supposed to eat certain foods with them on and stuff.. mabye you should use a water pick
