I think they're good but have the potential to be much more than they have shown us to be. The singing is great, the lyrics are fantastic and the playing is good. But when it's all combined into a song it's blah. I guess its so similar to Nightwish, Lacuna Coil, and Within Temptation. All bands that made this music popular before Evanescence and do it better than them as well. But Amy has said over and over that since Ben Moody has left she's going to try and flip it up a bit and break away from typical and more commercial type songs. I hope this turns out to be something great and I hope she keeps her promise!

I've always been a fan of them and I absolutely adore Amy Lee's voice. It's so unconventional with the type of music that it's being used for but I think it goes really well. Her voice is just amazing. Lyrically, I think they're great too probably because I like darker lyrics LOL.
I still remember when I saw them live ... AMAZING. |

LMAO @ the "Is Not Good But Not Bad" option.
Amy Lee has a magnificant and powerful voice. I see a lot in her future. Other than that, dime a dozen band. I hate saying that about ensembles or groups, I really do. |

I only know a few of her songs, but I really like them. She has such an amazing voice. I was looking for her songs on iTunes, but all they had was this fake Karaoke - Sing Like Evanescence stuff.

I like Evanescence. I have all the songs from The Open Door; their songs have gotten better since their earlier work. I love Amy Lee's voice and the band's lyrics.

I like them, I think Amy Lee has an incredible voice, but at the same time I can't listen to them for very long.
It just depresses me after a while. |
