I dont want an iPOD anymore
Because if you think about it, well it holds 10,000 songs
but each song is 99cent so thats $10,000 plus the $300 that you payed, for the iPOD
Thats alot of money....I could buy a car... happy.gif

I have an iPod- and it really is useful. It does carry a lot of songs, and is portable. I like my iPod.

I prefer an Ipod/Mp3 player just because it's more compact. You have all of your songs in one small device rather than switching cds all the time.

The mini's cost $200. I would prefer an iPod.
You know, when I was reading some reviews on the iPod, I realized that some people like really dreaded CDs/CD players. Like, not really 'dread' but yeah..

Good deal--until you stop your Napster subscription, that is. Then you have paid $15 a month, only to find that you have 0 songs.

Thats if you are on the warranty, but the battery is supposed to last at least 6 months after the warranty lasts, so youre looking at around 250$ for replacing the battery, unless you do it yourself, which is next to impossible since the Ipod doesnt have any means of opening it, so the average technical impaired person would probably break their ipod anyway.

Get something with a removable battery that can be easily replaced for very little cost if it doesnt hold a charge. Personally I love the Creative Zen Touch. 250$ for a 20gig one that has a 24 hour battery life and an FM radio. I mean, not much more ya need..except maybe the 40 gig one  tongue.gif

wrong, get the apple icare plan for $60 and the battery replacement is still free

i think people are thinking all about the $$ then what is really going on

edit: i have almost 10000 songs on my computer... i did not buy one song from itunes or downloaded it

most of them are my own cds and a lot i got at lan parties

Err .. it's $100 not $250 to replace the battery. Plus, there are many other alternative places which replace the battery for $50. And it's not that hard to open it. The average technical impared person probably could replace the battery by themselves, but probably leaving a few tiny scratches on the iPod here and there. But those can most likely be easily removed with iCleaner, unless it's an iPod Mini. And six months after the warranty is over, if your battery is drops below 50% capacity, you can get it replaced for free.

I think the Creative Zen Touch is pretty good, the user-replaceable battery is only $40, and it has a radio and voice recorder, but the 'touch' part isn't very good, because you can't scroll through many songs at once, and it is also very sensitive. And the battery is twelve hours not twenty four.

Get your facts straight, haha. wink.gif

My stand on iPods are, they are crap - you can get the same thing from dell with BETTER support and warranty's for close to half the cost. You pay for the stupid name and the little apple logo.

price doesn't always equate better quality. it equates, in the case of ipods, higher margins.

with ipod you're paying for a case, a touchwheel, a brand, and trendy headphones that you're not supposed to wear.
