The thing that's kind of ridiculous about these sorts of polls (beyond the fact that there are too many of them) is that people can't really be narrowed down into such specific categories. Most people are a mix of both. Sure, if you just know them casually, you might feel like you can categorize them easily, but once you know people, you'll find everyone has some sort of quirk or trait that makes them completely uncategorizable. As people age, too, they become hard to stereotype. Sure, in middle school and even high school, people are often trying to fit into a category, and you might easily be able to lump them into groups like "athlete," "nerd," "popular," "punk," and so forth; but eventually people grow out of that and are just themselves, and are happy with themselves, and then they are nearly impossible to categorize.

there's been gazillions of topics on this. but i'm kind of like misshyyy. i'm a nerd - all honors except for math and band since you can't have a "honors band"
i'm athletic - i'm on the varsity volleyball and badminton team. and on our teams, we travel internationally for competitions.
but, i'm not preppy, i'm a mixture of all - i just wear whatever i like. if i like a certain AE shirt, i'll wear it. if i like black combat boots, i'll wear them.
