You have to stop thinking of evolution as progress. Evolution is not progress. Evolution is adaptation.

QUOTE(sikdragon @ Oct 26 2004, 4:34 PM)
to evolve would be to become more sophisticated. Losing limbs isnt evolution, regardless their new found abilities. Fishes never had legs to lose and didnt devolve to the extent of our knowledge.

Ha HA HA  wink.gif

Uh, losing limbs through time (natural section and survival of the fittest willed it) isn't evolution according to whom? Christians? tongue.gif Yes, I think that much is obvious.

Losing their legs allow them to catch their prey with more ease and get away from their possible predators with agility. This isn't evolution how?
QUOTE
Yes every love is different and so is every happiness, but what isnt different is it's source.

Uh, its source? Happiness can come from love, love can come from happiness. Love can come from pain, suffering, life, realization, harmony, peace. Both sources can vary.

Yes.

Hate is passion. Love is passion. They share the same source. And all the while, love can come from hate and hate can come from love.

Apathy is without feeling. Without feeling there is no love.... Perhaps there is love of being indifferent?

Wow, I really need to chew on this one before giving you an answer.

What about deriving love from the act of chewing?

Can one be so anorexic, that he does not appreciate and love the crunch of jaw bones?

Snakes losing their limbs is adaptation. A new kind hasn't been created from the change so it is still only micro. Geez, evolution is to become more sophisticated. Make a good point and stop arguing false semantics.

This coming from someone who believes the first humans were perfect as they are now? Okay... I guess you have religious rights to skip biology class then, huh?

Anyway, before assuming you can correct someone on semantics, I suggest you have a firm grasp of it yourself, or at least have a good grade in English class.

What is evolution? No silly, you don't need to check in the dictionary for this one, but you probably need at least one crash course in bio to answer it.

Now then, what is adaptation? Wait! Don't give me dictionary.com's definition because I already know what it is, but I'm wondering if you do.

Why do animals evolved? Because they're all heathens? Erm, no. It's because they need to adapt to their environment. *Gasp*, I used the word adapt! Yes, ladies, gents, and kids, animals don't evolve just because they want to, they evolve because their environments demands it or else they won't last for the next turn of the century! What is it called when you have to get used to your environment that starts with an "A", ends with a "N" and means the same as adjust? I'll give you an imaginary cookie if you guess right. Scroll down for the answer.

Wow, that was so wrong i can't even begin. That is so stereotypical i think someone just died. Wow. You have no knowledge of my grades nor my understanding of semantics. You yourself cannot make a case for evolution, so all you can do is attack my case(not very well i might add) and claim evolution to be the victor.

Evolution has no evidence, nor a case. Pure speculation.

Creation has evidence, witnesses, records, and even history on it's side.

Every living thing has the ability to adapt to it's surroundings. This is true. To evolve is to become more complex. The snake did not do that in this situation. It caused a variation of the species so it is microevolution. Macroevolution has never happened. Microevolution is adaptation. The record of the snake is in the bible. Is there another record aside from folk tales? If you say there is scientific evidence you're helping me with my case and i'll thank you for it.
