so, today or yesterday i got sick and i have a cold. all day today my mother was all "i told you to wear more clothes because it's cold outside. i told you! now you have a runny nose. i told you to bundle up and wear a turtle neck and a scarf. see i told you. why don't you ever listen."
it's so stupid, i didn't get sick that way  i got it from someone. even if i did tell her she'd be like "yeah okay, like you know anything" it's so annoying, people don't get sick from being out in the cold besides, it's not like she gave me money for a jacket, and it went below zero this winter too...well the wind chill was so i guess it counts  it's like, "my god woman, leave me alone." do your parents believe in things like this that aren't true and bug the hell out of you? |

Um.. wait I thought you could catch a cold from being outside in the cold. And you get sick because you got a cold and your immune system is fighting it off.
But yea I don't like it when my mom says I don't wear enough clothes when I get sick.. And I ALWAYS have a sweater on, almost everyday!

i am sick with a stomache virus right now and my mom is like, "you really need to be more concoinence(sp?) about washing your hands because that is why you are getting so sick."
wtf? i am not sick because i don't wash my hands, i am sick because of other reasons!

actually, even my science teacher said if you run outside when it's raining and you're naked you won't get sick. you get colds from viruses .. so .. yea .. i wear warm clothes juss in case ..

Yea, my parents are soo friggen annoying. They always disagree w/ me all the time. Why are they so stubborn ? why cant they have it my way cuz i already know better. They're treating me like a one year old boy who doesnt know anything. i think i'm a bit older enough to have my responbilites.

Wow. My grandma is like that. She constantly tells me that I don't where enough clothes out in the cold, when I'm like wearing 4 stupid layers. I got it from a friend, but she just bugs me off.

Yes. My mom's always telling me how I'm going to get sick because I'm wearing not enough clothes. Surprisingly, I haven't been sick all winter so far.
 I once wore a REALLY thin shirt on a pretty cold day. And walked home in a really heavy rainy day.. I was naked for a long time.. because umm.. I couldn't find my clothes anywhere. And I was cold, too. |

Yeah. I totally know what you mean. My parents have done that too --;
But I don't get sick a lot. I once wore a hoodie and a pair of jeans when it was snowing out.. and of course they yelled at me, but I deserved that. heh |

gah, that happens ALL THE TIME!!! my mom is too secure. Even SHE should know that you can only get colds from PEOPLE, not weather (Hypothermia is different... but yeah)... and she's a medical guru for Christ's sake o__O

Theres two ways I get a cold. Walking with your mouth open because I am talking the whole time, or just don't notice.
The common cold though, you get it from being "inside" ... because the virus(s) try to come in the house were the heat is ... because they too don't like the cold. x] So yeah. |
