i've never used a tampon. isnt it more likely to get TSS if you use a tampon for a long time?

Yes. I don't think it's possible at all to get that if you're using pads.

i use both, it just depends.
i use always for pads, and playtex for tampons.

tampax pearl - - - - - don't some people have problems with those . . . I heard that one girl in my school that she got major cramps due to the fact that some parts of the tampon got stuck. Then again thats just talk.

my sister's friend had a tampon string rip off once (during school) and she went to the nurse and the nurse tried pulling it out (yeah it sounds gross.. school nurse poking around in there...) but she couldn't and she had to surgically remove it to avoid TSS

Anyways, i used Always. Makes me feel less consious if my period is gonna leak EVERYWHERE.

I'm pretty sure I've seen a warning for TSS on my pad container...

But if you use tampons sensibly and don't wear them for more than 6 hours, you'll be fine. I hope.

I use always pads and tampax tampons. My mom uses the o.b. kind, and they're so weird. I took one out and I'm like, "Where's the applicator?" and my mom told me I just had to shove it in there myself blink.gif.
