i have my layout in divs,so i have two images one for the layout one for the background,but the background is showing up above the the layout. is there any way i can position the layout so that this won't happen?
also does anyone know what the hex code for the tan part of my layout is? here's my coding: |

It's because you gotta position your banner/layout on the top left corner.. WHen you do that the background wont show up..
For the tan color it is probbaly #E2D9C4 I can't really tell.. Since it must be a .gif.. |

would i have to position the layout with css instead of using html to put the image of the layout?

Change the top margin in your picture's div to a larger negative number. When I input your codes in the Xanga Skin Previewer, I saw that -95 moved it all the way up without the background showing.
