whoops....i accidentaly clicked movie when I meant to click book. the book goes more into detail, and lets you imagine things better so they are easier to understand....when you watch the movie, its alredy made up for you and not as detailed as books are.

usually the book version is better because in the movie, they leave lots of stuff out.. the book usually comes out before, so the people who read the book are always dissapointed.

movie!!

because even tho they skip a few parts, you actually get the visual scene taking place... and, like they say.. a picture is worth a thousand words, or was it a hundred?

In most cases, films are based on books .... so naturally, the book will always be better since it was the original. The same goes with sequels .... Sequels are never better than the original film. However, there are some examples that break the rules .... but that isn't important.

What is important is that books and movies are completely different. I don't think its fair to say that it is a director's fault if a movie isn't as good as the book .... because it is virtually impossible to live up to something original.

Movies cannot be as detailed as books are because there's only so much you can show in a film. With novels, you have all the time in the world to read it .... with movies you have about 2 hours.

i think that books are better because you can think as everything as you want. reading a book kinda makes it fun. but watching a movie is much easier than trying to read a really thick book! laugh.gif

but you're right, sometimes they make bad movies based on books. pinch.gif

I think reading a book is much better than just watching the movie... For one your brain has to actually imagine what is going on, and you can come up with your own picture of what people are supposed to look like, and such... But of course there are always the movies that are better than books from time to time...

But I'm sure if the director/producer was given more money and an endless reel as to how they could make the movie just as good as the book then they would... But there are always setbacks... Cash and how long people are willing to sit in a movie theatre... So yeah...

the book versions...because the author puts more thought into it and gives details that movie directors won't ever be able to reenact.

pluss --> watching movies or tv don't allow your mind to concentrate. books make you smarter and build your vocabulary. so there are two advantages for reading the book version.
