 i wasn't freaked out because me and her had talked about it, but it did catch me off guard.

No. I didn't even tell my mom when I got it, initially, because I already knew what to do. I know she told my grandma about it, but I don't think she told anyone else.

i actually got it for the first time at my best friend's house. lol. so i freaked out first. because my mom and i never talked about it, hahaa. and then i told my best friend, "i think i'm bleeding..." and she completely walked me through it. lol. i love her.
 when i went home and told my mom, she was like, "  you got it already?!" lmao. she was as shocked as i was. i got it november 30 of my 7th grade year. i will NEVER forget that day. lol. well, i never forget dates, so yeah.

my mom didn't freak out when i got my period. my sisters were surprised though haha. i just hate it when my mom talks about my period around my dad and stuff -__- so weird

Sat at the dinner table with grandparents. Mum: "Everybody, I think you should know, Faye has started her period" Grandma: "FAYEE! YOU'VE BECOME A WOMAN!" Me: *please god, make the floor eat me* Im not joking. This actually is what happened.

she wouldnt let me tell my friends and i was like thats cool given that i wouldnt just flat out tell them unless the topic came up. but then she goes off and tell my whole friggin family, which i must say is quite large
