Hahaha, well clearly it hasn't been banned after two years. Bush wouldn't have the right to do that anyway. And this "Undersigned" person says how all these series are inappropriate or whatever, but hello, look at how we have porn in the US and everywhere else. You haven't seen that banned, so they can't just single the anime-watchers out and ban what we like.

Anime does have an effect on childrens brains,just like Hollywood & music
 !I admit,anime SOMETIMES does have negative effects on someone,but its not like it makes people comit murder  . If they bann anime,why shouldnt the government bann every other intertaiment America offers that could only slitely affect someones brain in a negetive way,that would just be stupid.Anime could also affect someones brain in a positive manner to,moste anime characters influence children and maybe even older viewers to be brave,protect the things they love,& stand up for yourself.I really dont see the difference that anime and any other passtime could have,they bothe have possitive and negetive effects on people.This would just be taking away something a lot of people love and charish.

I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to anime. I'm sure I'm just as ignorant as Bush on this. I'm assuming he thinks anime is not only cartoons developed by the Eastern Hemisphere, but also "animated porn".
We all know that generally speaking cartoons at once was for children, then worked it's way into the adult maturity such as the Simpsons for example. Anime on the other hand kinda blew that out of the water (again I dunno if there's a different title for anime porn) releasing adult cartoons in which are even rated R and XXX. Anyone can go to a block busters or hollywood video store and see that there's actual mature material. Problem is because people generally believe that cartoons are innocent, they let immature/children rent/watch these "cartoons" without realizing what sort of rating they have nor the type of material in the cartoon. So I don't believe in banning anime, but I do believe in making it more strict for children/under aged to watch mature materials. Whether they make it a policy that a video store or video rental store bring it to the attention of the parent that their about to rent an adult mature cartoon. Or they make it obliviously obvious the type of material that is being purchased/rented by posting up big signs or making an area for adults 18+ only to enter and browse. When I say adult material I only mean 2 things: Sex and foul language. I for one don't bother to watch anime... I once watched "The La Blue Girl" and I honestly felt traumatized. I watched a cartoon in which who ever orgasmed first during a "sexual fight" lost. And I watched alien like creatures raping school girls with multiple tentacles. Quite disgusting in my opinion. |
