Sure, and a lot harder assignments than that, but I don't mind since I like writing.

Do you need help with something?

Maybe this belongs in the lounge instead...unless you're asking for help, which I doubt.

And yes, teachers had asked me to write about stuff that never happened...so it's hard to relate myself to the writing..

I think they are just trying to get you to use your imagination. I had to do a lot of writing like that last year.

Well, imagination is useful. It's not really that pointless.
I guess you can always learn stuff from doing anything.

I dont think it's pointless, I mean, from my learning expereinces every paper i wrote lead me to something alot more difficult and needed critical thought and analysis. I guess the creative writing is so you can start brainstoming and exercing your writing ability, chronological thought process, and overall you ability to write a good paper...

-sigh-

It's not pointless. Our ss teacher gave us a topic we had NO CLUE on, but the information from a packet, and made us write a 5 paragraph essay.

It's supposed to HELP you.
On what, you ask?
Well it prepares you to helping writing and stuff for the SAT's and state tests. You can't even spell SURVIVE right. And it also helps you because you have to use your imagination.

Our english teacher is on something. if we left the room, or shouted her name she wouldnt notice. she messed up everyones grades, gave us all Fs and then told us to ripped them up and then she changed them. She assigned us a 'traditions' paper once. It was so stupid, becuase i dont really celebrate holidays. I wish she died.

nope.. we aren't allowed to use our imaginations and write stories. we write analytical essays and/or power paragraphs. our teacher's doesn't even collect the what we write since she's never there anymore... she's in trouble with the board for allowing a student who writes for the school newspaper to write about gays/bis/lesbians without getting permission from the students' parents [the parents of the students named in the article]. pinch.gif
