Lp/JZ, mixed feelings |

Hey, I'm kinda new here, but I've been readin some LP stuff and it seems people have a lot of mixed feelings about Linkin Park and Jay-Z. I'd like to hear anyone's opinion on it, and since I hear yours, I think it's only fair you hear mine
 As anyone can see from my name, I love LP. Their, to me, one of the greatest bands out there. I think that though because they've done something many bands, if any really, have done first... Created a rap/rock group. Now keep in mind, when you hear rap, profanity is involved in a great deal, as well with rock. But Linkin Park, however, does not use it. But what I mean when I say that is, 1, they don't need it to prove a point in any song, and 2, when they do use it, it's either in remix's of songs, or in mash ups, as Jay-Z. Honestly, I like rap. But not today's, I like older rap. Rap that has a meaning, just like the rap in LP's music. But, whoa, I'm off subject. Teaming up with Jay-Z was awesome to me because for one Jay came to them and asked them about it, and two, they made an amazing album. The songs that were put together collided perfectly. Both Jay-Z's and Lp's music is something entirely different on both genres. Linkin Park speaks peoticly and truthfully, and Jay's music comes from a man who's lived in the ghetto, and tells it like it is. Their not here complaining about cutting themselves up and killing everyone or wanting to bust a cap in yo azz. (lol) So to the point, I loved Collision Course. I'm sorry if this was too long, I get carried away lol.

yea i absolutely loved Collision Course too. my friend got it for me for christmas and i listened to it the whole time while i was on vacation. Although i love to listen to all type of music ( no heavy metal / country for me tho ) i'd have to say LP is my fave band of all time. i hate how ppl diss them and say all they do is yell yell yell and its only good for when your angry. but its not. its good for anytime =) . and this one guy i know.. really pissed me off when he was like anyone can play their songs its only 2 chords blah blah blah.. well i'd like to see YOU try.. anyways yea.. w00t goo LP*JZ

^yah but he or she didn't know there was a topic on this, he or she is a newbie, cut some slack.
As for your post, yah i think Lp and Jz are great together. I love both rock and rap, so i think this was a great idea. The "numb/encore" song is great. I'm a fan of LP, but not so much Jz..but still they were great

yea i like them together. i only know the names of like 5 rock bands or whatever and Linkin park is one of them so yea i was glad to see that i knew who they were

Wow you love them that much? Wow that means you'll like Jay Z too cause he teamed up with Linkin Park? lol... I like Linkin Park, but with Jay Z in it? EHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH not really. i dont like jay z. yeah i like few of his songs, but not him ehh.. well i shouldnt say cause i dont even know him like never met him in real-life, but i just dislike his personality from whatever he does...
their song was great, but.... umm i hope they dont do another song!!! |

I used to like linkin park. Then I began thinking.. They're all a group of pansy ass p**sies that get beaten by their girlfriends (listen to some of their music, like Numb). And Jay-Z.. I just hate him.

Numb, for one is not about that. Obviously you don't really get the lyrcs as to what it IS about..but whatever. Thats your opinion...And about how many topics on the subject, sorry, I never read the message boards much.

I LOVED Collision Course. I think they made a great team. Jay z used the N word and the F word too much. That kinda killed the music. It'd be okay if he used it once or twice in the song.. but DANG...
