i got a 79 on my progress report for AP World History and all my mom said was "work harder"

i was so shocked i nearly dropped the telephone (she was on the phone w/ me)

probably... because everything else was above a 94 ;)

wow, parents suprise me like that sometimes. I got a B+, and my dad didn't really say much about it, but then later, he started it again, he went "You need to work harder, you can't get less than an A-........."

wow, you're so lucky. if my parents saw last marking period's report card, they would've grounded me and punished me. bleh. but i guess last year, i got a 70 on the final and my parents didn't really do anything that bad as long as my other grades are fine

I've never gotten less than a B+ on any of my progress or report grades in high school, so far. My parents are okay with B's, but man... I think they would get pissed if they EVER saw a C. But then again, your grades are weighted in percentages, eh Melissa?

Haha, every bad grade I've gotten a progress report was the teacher's fault. If I get a B, my mom will just say.. "Oh looks like you don't get $20 this time."

hahah i'm well into my college years and my parents are still worried about my grades >_<
but they know that its my responsiblility now.. so they don't bug me about it..
they know that if i screw up.... its my own life im screwing up -_-;;

Yeah...my parent's didn't care as long as it wuzn't an F (I'm in college & I GOT ALL B's IN MY CLASSES ...I LUV IT, LoL).

I have this friend Vicky though...her parents made her do the work until it wuz DONE RIGHT (That gurl worked HER ASS OFF & now goes 2 UC Santa Cruz, Yay Vicky !)...but yeah her parents got PISSED when she got an A-...her dad told her once "U gotta live up 2 the stereotype standard[that Aisans are SUPER smart & only get A's & that parents get pissed if they get N E thing less] & U can only have an A or higher...NOTHING LESS!" Felt so bad 4 her, but it worked I guess ? Cuz she's doing pretty well in college.

My mom knows and understands I try my hardest, and I am in more difficult classes, so she doesn't get upset when she sees a C ever ONCE in a while.....because I always manage to raise my grades to all As

lol when i get a bad mark my dad doesn`t say anything but once im at school he complains to my mom saying he's gonna cut everything down no more internet and all but he never end up doing it. but they do keep telling me, it`s your senior year work harder for college and all you know

anyways... if i get a bad grade like for example: 56% or lower... my parents tells me like "it's okay, just work hard! you'll do better someday, just work hard!" hehh and it's kinda weird that my dad gives me $20 every time i get a bad grade. i think i know why he gives me money even though i get bad grades... maybe he thinks if he gives me more, i will work harder? ehhh i think that way... suspsicious supsicious suspicious... ehhhhh but when i get A- at least... i get $60 or sometimes $100... hehhh....


my friend tolds me that i got im so lucky because i have such a cool parent... i guess i do? they don't ground me nor punish me by telling me to get on my knees and hold lots of book for 3 hours like korean traditional way >.<;

good luck on the AP test, it wasnt too hard...get the review book thing tho, that helped me mucho

my progress report was really bad! i have never gotten a C on a report card or progress report and now i have an F!!!!!!!!!!!! it is a 66. it is in world geography! i hate that class! the teacher is very tough and the classwork is soooooo boring! i have to bring it up...
